INFORMATION FOR SPEAKERS

2002 Conference Broadcasts
This year we will be using picture-in-picture technology to broadcast all conference sessions. Your computer PowerPoint/HTML/etc presentation (if any) will be converted, via a scan converter, into a video signal at the same time a video camera in the session room will film the speaker. The speaker's image will then be overlaid over one corner of the presentation, hopefully resulting in being able to see both the speaker and the presentation clearly. As a result of this technology we advise all speakers to leave at least 1/8 of your screen on either the right or the left edge free and clear of all text, any text that is in these areas might be covered by the video image of the speaker (a diagram is below). If you have any questions please contact Steve Burke at sburke@cali.org.

All speaker computers (if you are not using your own laptop) will have Microsoft Office XP, Netscape 4.79, Microsoft IE 6, and Mozilla 1.0.
